Chandler, Arizona - One of Spiral's newest additions for the 2015 season will now also become Spiral's second contribution to the PAC-12 after senior Victoria Svorinic committed to attend the University of Arizona and play for Head Coach Dave Rubio.
"We couldn't be happier for Victoria and her family," said Spiral Director Molly Stark. "She had a number of opportunities to consider in addition to U of A but hadn't made a decision when the club season started. After several discussions and visits Coach Rubio made his interest very clear to her and, between the draw of the PAC-12 and her family's ties to U of A she decided it was the best of all worlds for her."
Svorinic will follow in the footsteps of Amanda Benson ('13), the starting libero at the University of Oregon, as Spiral's second PAC-12 athlete. "I am really excited to be in one of the outstanding volleyball programs in the PAC-12, in addition to keeping the wildcat tradition alive in my family." Svorinic reflected. Her commitment is Spiral's sixth from the 2015 class.
Victoria and her Spiral 18 Under Armour teammates are currently in Denver for the Colorado Crossroads Qualifier this weekend.
