Jessica (JP) Purinton
14's/17's
JP is currently in her second year coaching with the South Mountain Community College Cougars and has been instrumental in developing their two middles into the most dominant pair in the conference. JP began her career as a student-athlete at Mogollon High School in Heber, Arizona; in the fall of 2003, she attended one of Coach Pat Mooney’s clinics at Phoenix College where he spotted her tremendous talent and athleticism. She signed to play volleyball at Phoenix and has been committed to the sport of volleyball ever since. She was a dominant force as a middle blocker and two-year starter at Phoenix College and continued as an outstanding player at her next stop. JP’s first coaching venture was at her alma mater, Lambuth University; as a graduate assistant she helped lead the team to the playoffs in 2008. JP graduated from Lambuth in May of 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Human Performance.
