Kristi King
A local product out of Desert Vista High School, Kristi King brings added depth to Spiral as a player and coach. Kristi's volleyball career began at Desert Vista High School under Coach Molly West where she was named Freshman as well as Senior Female Athlete of the Year in 1996 and 2000 respectively. She played club volleyball in the off season where she was recruited by West Virginia University to play outside hitter and libero. Throughout her career at West Virginia University Kristi was able to excel at both positions, allowing her to hold records in kills per game as well as career digs. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Science, Kristi remained at WVU to attend Graduate School where she would complete her Master's Degree two years later.
Kristi brings to Spiral several years of High School and Club coaching experience. She coached and directed Mon Juniors based out of West Virginia. She has coached at the 16’s and 18’s levels and most recently won the 2009 Arizona Region 16-Club Championship. Her high school coaching experience includes Varsity Coach at Morgantown High School, and she is currently coaching her third season of JV at Desert Vista High School.
Kristi's focus is on technique and educating players on the basic fundamentals and strategies of the game. She looks forward to working with the 16's to help them perfect these skills.
